Vantage has been an evocative name within Aston Martin since 1951. Representing a magnificent bloodline of thoroughbred sports cars, the name has only ever been given to the purest of Aston Martin models.
Continuing this illustrious line of sports cars, the all-new Aston Martin Vantage is now upon us. Bold and beautiful in design but focused in power and performance, the latest car to wear the Vantage name truly demonstrates what it means to be a pure Aston Martin.
A new generation of Vantage requires a new distinctive design language. To this end, the all-new Vantage demonstrates a sculptural silhouette, predatory stance and muscular flanks that have not been experienced on previous Aston Martins.
Alongside an aggressive large intake you find iconic new headlights at the front of the car, whilst at the rear a new ultra-slim light graphic illuminates the full-width of the tailgate – all of these features are set to become signature elements of the new Vantage’s design.
Hinting at the capability of this new car, the body itself was designed for aerodynamic performance to guarantee that Vantage lives up to its namesake.
Combining elements underneath the car, a new front splitter, a new rear diffuser and new side gills, Aston Martin have ensured that the new Vantage creates the highest level of downforce possible.
The beating heart of this next generation Vantage is a new alloy, 4-litre twin-turbo V8. Set as low and as far back in the car as possible to grant 50:50 weight distribution, this potent new unit develops 510PS, 685nm of torque and takes Vantage from 0-60mph in just 3.5 seconds and on to a top speed of 195mph.
Power is fed directly to the rear wheels through a rear-mounted ZF eight-speed transmission, with maximum driver control coming courtesy of innovative electronic systems such as Dynamic Stability Control and Dynamic Torque Vectoring.
In a first for Vantage, this next generation car also benefits from an Electronic Rear Differential (E-Diff) that is in-tune with the Dynamic Stability Control so that it understands the car’s behaviour. Unlike a regular LSD, this E-Diff is capable of going from fully open to 100% locked in milliseconds, delivering unparalleled handling to the driver.
The interior of the new Vantage is as distinctive as the exterior. Effortlessly combining the extreme ability of Vantage with the quintessential quality of Aston Martin, it remains composed regardless of whether you are at the race track, on a winding country road or your everyday commute.
Hugging clean lines and focused angles that mimic the aggressive nature of the car, the materials within the cabin range from fine leather to exquisite Alcantara; all of which have been crafted and finished with the keen eye for detail that you would expect from Aston Martin.
A high level of standard equipment can be found within the cabin in the form of keyless start/stop, tyre pressure monitoring, front & rear parking sensors and much more. Vantage also benefits from an In-Car entertainment system that is displayed on an 8” LCD Screen and allows access to the Aston Martin Audio system, Satellite Navigation and a range of infotainment services.
