Both visually and technically, the Audi Q7 has received an all-round update. The stylish large SUV features the new design of the Q family, offering superb dynamics and excellent comfort. HD Matrix LED headlights including laser light, the mild hybrid technology and the digital operating concept are just some of its highlights. It bears the large octagon-shaped Singleframe, with six upright slats providing the structure. As such, the SUV looks even more powerful. The two-part side air inlets have a much more expressive line, just like the sill area that underscores the large SUV’s ground clearance and, in turn, its offroad capabilities. On the restyled rear, a striking chrome strip creates the visual connection between the flat rear lights with their technical-looking graphics and carries forward the horizontal body line.
Thanks to innovative and intuitive infotainment technologies, you can continue your digitised everyday life in the Audi Q7. Directly in front of you will find the optional Audi virtual cockpit plus. On its high-resolution 12.3-inch display, this all-digital instrument cluster delivers information about the vehicle, such as speed and engine speed. In addition to the classic instrument display, "Dynamics" and "Sport" offer you two additional display options. Control additional functions via the standard MMI navigation plus with MMI touch. The MMI navigation plus features LTE Advanced, a Wi-Fi hotspot, natural voice control and the extensive Audi connect portfolio. The cloud-based Amazon voice service Alexa, which is integrated into the MMI operating system, is also new. The adaptive cruise assist, which combines the functions of adaptive speed assist, traffic jam assist and active lane assist, reduces the driver’s workload – particularly on long journeys. In combination with efficiency assist it brakes and accelerates the Audi Q7 in anticipation of the conditions ahead. The emergency assist is also new: If the driver is inactive, the system brings the car to a stop and initiates protective and rescue measures.
The Audi Q7 is relaxed on a fast motorway ride, agile on winding country roads and thanks to optional all-wheel steering, it is extremely agile during manoeuvring in confined spaces. Complemented by the quattro drive, a fast shifting tiptronic and the low overall weight, a stable driving style is ensured even off the beaten track. The excellent driving comfort is ensured, among other things, by the precise electro mechanical steering and the weight reduction on the front and rear axle. The Audi Q7 effortlessly masters a host of challenges, regardless of surface, load and speed, while providing a dynamic driving experience.
The interior of the Audi Q7 conveys a feeling of vastness, generosity and cultivated elegance. The clear architecture and the logical operating concept work perfectly together – all switches and controllers are ideally at hand. All the colours and materials of the interior are carefully coordinated. For even more comfort while driving, the individual contour seats with massage function are optionally available. The leather upholstery is perforated and the driver and front passenger seats can be cooled and heated at the touch of a button. The optional ambient lighting includes illuminated door sills and additional contour lighting on the centre tunnel console and ensures a pleasant atmosphere in the dark. In addition, a very low noise level supports the pleasant room feeling. Depending on the position of the rear seat backs the luggage compartment on the five-seater version offers between 865 and 2,050 litres (30.5-72.4 cu ft) of capacity – the latter with a flat load area. The cockpit architecture harmonises perfectly with the new, digital operating concept, which incorporates two large touchscreens.
