The Audi Q5 TFSI e

The premium quattro all-wheel-drive SUV combines a 252PS, 2.0-litre TFSI, four-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with a 14.1kWh lithium-ion battery. The battery, mounted beneath the floor of the luggage compartment, is used to power a 105kW electric motor. The Q5 can be driven in three modes: Hybrid, Battery Hold and EV. In EV mode, it runs solely on electric power and can do so for up to 26 miles, enabling you to cruise silently and serenely through cities, suburbs and villages while producing no emissions. It’s also capable of travelling on the motorway in EV mode, should you choose, and can reach an electric top speed of 84mph, meaning you can do the lion’s share of your daily driving electrically.

Hybrid Technology

In Hybrid mode, the turbocharged petrol engine and the electric motor collaborate to muster a total output of 367PS and 500Nm of torque. That’s enough to enable the Q5 to sprint to 62mph in just 5.3 seconds – and, if you’re travelling on a derestricted section of the Autobahn in Germany, you can enjoy a top speed of 148mph. So, as you can see, while the new Q5 55 TFSI e quattro champions more sustainable mobility, it certainly isn’t lacking in performance. As you might expect, because it was engineered with the spirit of Vorsprung durch Technik, the Q5 has the brains to match its brawn. Audi’s predictive efficiency assistant (PEA) facilitates the intelligent harnessing of power through recuperation, enabling the recovery of kinetic energy and its conversion into electrical energy. What’s more, the Q5 analyses predictive route data from its satellite navigation system and also monitors the distance between you and the vehicle ahead to choose the most efficient option, whether freewheeling with the engine switched off or coasting with the engine running. Using a three-phase AC public charging point, the battery can be recharged in just 2½ hours. If you use a 230-volt domestic outlet, it will be fully replenished in around seven hours – and, thanks to the myAudi app, you can check the charging status and driving range from the comfort of your sofa.

Impressive from the first moment. The exterior is characterised by the characteristic Q design, while the generously-proportioned interior offers plenty of space for everything you need. Equipped with the quattro all-wheel drive with ultra technology, the Audi Q5 is efficient and dynamic - with the usual traction. It is now even more powerful and even more sportier. It includes quattro drive, with ultra technology, highly efficient engines, adaptive air suspension and an extensive array of infotainment and assistance systems.

Ready for virtually any surface. And the challenges ahead. The all-wheel drive quattro with ultra technology. For all four-cylinder engines with permanent all-wheel drive, quattro ensures that your Q5 remains efficient, dynamic, and safe without compromising traction. If quattro is not required, all-wheel drive is disabled, helping the driver save on fuel. Of course, it is always available. As soon as the situation requires quattro, the engine is ready.['jquery'], function ($) { var jQuery = $; });
