Spider-Man passes the test with Audi intelligent technology

MARVEL’s Peter Parker (aka Spider-Man) demonstrates Audi intelligent technology in a new short film that celebrates the new Spider-Man: Homecoming movie and the all-new A8. The campaign swoops onto UK cinema screens on Friday 7 July and runs throughout the summer.

In the short film, Peter Parker, played by upcoming British actor Tom Holland, borrows (Iron Man) Tony Stark’s 'prototype' car (aka the all-new Audi A8) to take his driver’s test. He passes thanks to a host of super Audi technologies.

The 'driver’s test' film, which was produced by MARVEL and Audi of America, showcases several Audi Intelligent technologies such as Traffic Jam Pilot, Parking Pilot and Pre-Sense Front. It will feature before a number of major films over the summer, including War for the Planet of the Apes, Baby Driver, Spider-Man: Homecoming and many more. It will also be active on video-on-demand until the end of July.

You can watch the full-length film of Peter Parker's driving test at audi.co.uk’s Spider-Man: Homecoming page here.

Three Audi models feature in the new Spider-Man movie:

  • Audi A8L with piloted driving: the interior of the car is shown in a scene where the character Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau) chauffeurs Peter Parker (Tom Holland) in an A8L. Happy Hogan has the ‘Traffic Jam Pilot’ activated with his hands off the wheel, the car drives itself and the dashboard shows ‘AI active’. There is also an exterior shot of the car pulling up, showing its front and side. This unofficial launch of the car comes a week before the offical launch at the Audi Summit on 11 July
  • R8 V10 Spyder: Tony Stark sits in his R8 Spyder talking remotely with Peter Parker and drives away
  • TTS Roadster: chase sequence in which Spider-Man (Tom Holland) borrows Flash’s TTS Roadster
