The Car for the Most Discerning Passengers
There are those for whom the act of driving itself is a distraction. Some people need more space to think, more space to work and more space to relax. It is with these discerning travellers in mind that designers and engineers created a new pinnacle in luxury.
Everything At Your Fingertips
The air conditioning controls are accessible from the rear seat, as is a state-of-the-art entertainment system, featuring fast wireless connectivity, high-resolution video screens and the option of the world’s finest in-car audio system.
It Feels Like Flying
Airline-style reclining seats can be commissioned, giving travellers in the back the chance to relax as they might on a private jet. This is the Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase: the ultimate combination of speed and exquisite luxury.
With an extra 250mm of legroom for passengers in the rear and the option of airline-style reclining seats, there is ample room in the Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase to relax. And with electric curtains to each of the rear windows it is the perfect mode of transport for those with the occasional need to travel incognito. A tilting glass sunroof invites a cascade of daylight into the rear of the car, while the extended rear doors make it easier to get in and out of the car in style. Optional airline-style reclining seats feature the most supportive footrests in the industry.
The Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase’s silhouette conceals an additional 250 mm of legroom for rear seat passengers, allowing for extra space and comfort on the inside, with no compromise to the design of the car on the outside.
A wide front grille sits in front of the familiar Bentley matrix, notable for its stainless steel vertical vanes, each one angled outwards from the centre. Matching stainless steel Flying 'B' wing vents can be found behind each front wheel arch, while the rear of the car is adorned with similarly finished tailpipes.
The Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase can switch from whisper-quiet cruising to breathtaking acceleration in a split second. Inside the cabin, however, the engine is barely audible, thanks to the car’s extensive soundproofing. Even as the throttle opens and the exhaust note builds to a powerful roar, all is calm inside the cabin. The same 6¾ litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that enables it to glide through the city in near-silence can also propel it from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.3 seconds.
Passengers can experience a completely new infotainment system with updated telephony and wireless networking features. With a suite of cutting edge technology options, the cabin can be considered a true home from home.
A 4G LTE telephone and internet connection, coupled with an in-car WiFi hotspot, enables all occupants of the car to use messaging, media and cloud services, including music streaming and downloads.Twin 10.4” SMART tablets can be deployed at the touch of a button, emerging from the front seatbacks and adjusting electrically to the optimum viewing angle. The Android-based system provides access to media streaming from the cloud, Skype video calls, TV, internet radio and music on CDs. The tablets themselves can even be removed and operated independently of the car.
The world’s most luxurious car deserves the world’s greatest in-car sound system. The optional Naim™ for Bentley system – created in collaboration with Cambridge-based audio engineers Naim™ – features 20 custom-made speakers, a 2,200-Watt amplifier and eight DSP modes.
