The 2018 race was the biggest and most popular yet, with crowds of over 30,000 lining the new extended route around Bristol City Centre throughout the day

The roads of Bristol city centre were closed off on the 8th July for the special cycling event that saw

hundreds of professional and keen racers get on their bikes for Bristol's Grand Prix cycle race.

People of all ages took on the 6km course which began on College Green and went along St George’s Road, Millennium Square, Queen Square and more.

The day was bigger and better than imagined, with attendances across the course and throughout the day estimated to more than double that of previous years.

The Let’s Ride event was incredible, with official estimates suggesting that over 8,000 riders enjoyed the course once the racing had finished. The 2018 Bristol Grand Prix event was a big step-up, with the short, fast circuit of previous years extended to a 6km long loop that would test some of the UK’s best riders to the maximum. The racing was hard and fast, and conducted in blistering heat.

Guy Salmon Jaguar Bristol was very pleased to be able to show their support by supplying the lead cars on the day.
