Guy Salmon Jaguar Northampton want to ensure we are making a difference in our local community. With that in mind, we are very excited and delighted to announce our partnership with local charity Cynthia Spencer Hospice which provides essential hospice and palliative care services to the south Northamptonshire community.
Their aim is to ensure the best quality of life for all their patients and to provide support to their families and carers, whether in the hospice or throughout the community. This service is provided on a free of charge basis. Cynthia Spencer are part funded by the NHS but there is an annual shortfall of £1.9m which is primarily raised by charitable donations and profits raised from sales from their charity shops.
A distribution unit has been recently opened to process donations for their charity shops and they need our help to stock it.
This was the primary reason we launched our ‘Fill Your Boots for Cynthia’ campaign in May, encouraging Guy Salmon Jaguar customers to place items they wish to donate in the boot of their car when they visit us. We will act as a drop off point for smaller donations which can help stock the charity’s new ‘Donation Station’ which is now open at Pondwood House, Pondwood Close, Moulton Park.
We would be grateful for donations of good quality clothing & shoes, bags & accessories, books, music & DVDs, homeware, toys & games, small electrical items, stamps, foreign coins and mobile phones plus any other items that they can use to sell in their charity shops around Northamptonshire. Unfortunately we cannot accept any of the following items: White goods, anything broken or dirty, video tapes/cassettes, sharp implements.
Cynthia Spencer also desperately need people to volunteer their time to help process donated items to help the retail team get them out into their shops in Northampton more quickly which will generate income for the Hospice straightaway.
