Following 12 months of planning and preparation, construction of our exciting new Jaguar Land Rover site in South West London is now well underway. Set to open its doors in 2019, we thought we’d bring you a quick update on this incredible new facility and what it will have to offer.
One of only eight ‘Global Statement’ sites worldwide, this new five storey 17,000sq metre dealership, will be the only one of its type in the UK and one of only two in the whole of Europe. Just five minutes from the M25, the site sits alongside the M3 offering easy accessibility and is visible to around 72,000 drivers daily.
The first two floors of the state-of-the-art facility will be home to 130 new and approved used cars and in addition will display the bespoke personalisation services available from JLR’s Special Vehicle Operation along with a selection of interesting and historic cars from their extensive Classic Collection.
Greeted on arrival by name, service customers will be able to comfortably drop off or pick up their car whatever the weather thanks to the three-lane under cover ‘Drive-In’ service reception facility and from here, cars are whisked to the service department up on the second floor.
Home to 27 technical bays and two MOT test lanes, the workshop will give our highly skilled Technicians all the tools that they need to provide the high level of aftersales service that is synonymous with both the Jaguar Land Rover and Guy Salmon names.
Customers who don’t wish to rush off via the nearby excellent transport links will be guided into a large and stylish customer café and lounge, in which they are free to relax or catch up on work whilst enjoying a snack or hot drink courtesy of our fantastic centre hosts.
Although located just seven miles from the current site, customers of that business will be pleased to know that whilst the main sales and aftersales functions will be moving to the new site, we will continue to offer aftersales services in Thames Ditton.
Work on the site is continuing at a very fast pace and we can’t wait to bring you the finished product in the middle of next year. Be sure to keep an eye on our Facebook, Twitter and Linkedin accounts to see how the project is going and for news of the exciting opening date.
