Team Maranello have taken part in two fantastic charity events during the last two weeks.
From the Sales Department, Marcus, Lawrence, Adrian, Dale & Adam completed a cycling challenge on Sunday 1st October of 45 miles from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle, in a record time of 2 hours and 45 minutes.
And in recognition of the effort we have put into fundraising, the The Peter Alliss Masters Charity invited two more members of the Team, Neil Wilsher and Terry Francis, to take part in a prestigious annual golf tournament at Old Thorns Hotel. It will come as no surprise to many of you that Neil came 3rd overall. Very well done.
Neil and Terry are pictured with Peter Alliss handing over our powered wheelchair to Harry Stride. Later this month there will be a more formal handover with Harry at the Tower Showroom.
Thank you to all of you who have already very generously donated but if you haven’t, it’s not too late as donations can still be accepted by clicking here.
Here is a little more about the Charity:
Led by patron Peter Alliss and run entirely by volunteers, The Peter Alliss Masters exists to raise funds to buy powered wheelchairs for young people with very limited mobility to improve their quality of life.
Each year thousands of children are born with disabilities that severely affect their mobility, causing very real limits on their quality of life. This can be dramatically improved by the use of a modern and sophisticated powered wheelchair, giving the freedom and mobility to gain a degree of independence. Unfortunately, the state does not offer most children the type of chair that they really need and the cost is often out of the reach of their families.
To date, this wonderful charity has raised over £1.5 million to fund over 450 of powered wheelchairs and with your support we can achieve our goal and make a life changing difference to create independence at home, at school or at play for a child in our community.
