Graypaul Birmingham Receive Special Recognition Award from the Mat Davies Foundation
Graypaul Birmingham receive a Special Recognition award from the Mat Davies Foundation for raising over £45,000 for the charity
On the 17th November 2018, the Mat Davies Foundation hosted their 5th Charity Ball hosted at Stratford Manor Hotel. Team members from Graypaul Birmingham who took part in the Three Peaks Challenge attended the event and received a Special Recognition Award from the foundation.
The charity ball was in aid of the Mat Davies Foundation that works to provide relief to young people aged between 18 to 30 who have been diagnosed with cancer related illness within Warwickshire and the surrounding areas.
Over the years Graypaul Birmingham have supported the Mat Davies Foundation and have took part in many challenges including a 10k Wolf Run, Pretty Muddy Challenge and most recently the Three Peak’s Challenge.
The most recent challenge took place in June 2018, where 14 team members from Graypaul Birmingham climbed the three highest peaks of Scotland, England and Wales all within 24 hours. The team worked incredibly hard to complete this enormous challenge and managed to raise £12,745 for the Mat Davies Foundation.
On the 17th November Graypaul Birmingham received a Special Recognition Award from the foundation at the charity ball. Since the team started supporting the Mat Davies Foundation, Graypaul Birmingham has raised £45,000. The money has been used to provide relief for many young people and also has funded an outreach nurse to be work for a whole year to support young people suffering from cancer in the local area.
