Blending eye-catching design with exceptional practicality, safety, and efficiency, the B-Class raises the bar in the compact segment. The best reason to get active.
An array of distinctive design elements give the B-Class a refined look. The air intakes are larger and more dramatic, appearing to be carved out of the front section beneath the reshaped headlamps. There's a new two-louvre radiator grille too, and a reworked front apron with chrome splitter, enhancing the car's agile, sporty looks.
This is echoed at the rear of the B-Class, where a redesigned bumper now features a striking chrome trim strip. For added appeal, both the Sport model and AMG Line also boast twin sports tailpipes.
A range of five diesel and two petrol versions offers an impressive blend of power and economy. Fuel consumption and emissions are remarkably low: the B 180 CDI (automatic), for example, achieves up to 70.6 mpg combined, with CO2 emissions as low as 104 g/km.
Choose the B 180 CDI ECO SE and the figures are even more impressive. Thanks to a 6-speed manual transmission with higher gearing and shift point recommendation, plus aerodynamic enhancements to the underbody, it can do up to 78.5 mpg combined with emissions as low as 98 g/km.
Other diesel options include the new four wheel drive B 220 CDI 4MATIC (up to 62.8 mpg), while petrol models include the B 200, which can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 8.6 seconds yet still returns up to 50.4 mpg (52.3 mpg automatic) combined.
The latest B-Class is safer than ever, with innovative new equipment including Collision Prevention Plus. This updated version of our acclaimed radar-assisted warning system not only alerts you when you get too close to the vehicle in front, but actively intervenes if required. As soon as the system recognises a hazardous situation, autonomous partial braking kicks in, while Adaptive Brake Assist ensures you have maximum brake pressure when you need it most.
Other standard features include automatic child seat recognition, which deactivates the front passenger airbag when a child seat is fitted. And a reversing camera, which makes parking and manoeuvring safer and easier.
The B-Class also offers access to our Mercedes connect me services, which provide essential support in the event of an accident or breakdown.
