With its athletic lines and expressive styling, the dynamic exterior has a class-leading drag coefficient of just 0.24 Cd. The interior of the new B-Class has a bold new look with a clean, contemporary feel. Signature design elements range from the dashboard with its distinctive cut-out sections to the five aviation-style turbine air vents. You can even tailor the interior to your mood with ambient lighting.
The spacious cabin features technology in abundance, including a widescreen display in a choice of sizes and the latest MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system with “Hey Mercedes” voice technology.
Safety is another highlight of the new B-Class, which offers a raft of intelligent driving assistance systems normally reserved for luxury vehicles. The latest Active Brake Assist, for example, not only helps reduce the risks of rear-end collisions with vehicles ahead but also with crossing pedestrians or cyclists.
As for performance, the new B-Class is cleaner and more efficient than ever. A line-up of two petrol and three diesel engine variants includes the B 220 d with 8G-DCT dual-clutch transmission, with 190 hp (140 kW) output and peak torque of 400 Nm. Thanks to improved exhaust after-treatment, this four-cylinder diesel is certified to Euro 6d and already meets the Stage 2 RDE (Real DriviSuperior comfort, improved handling and performance, enhanced technology, and exceptional everyday practicality: the new B-Class has it all.
Handling and ride comfort are equally impressive, with a choice of suspension set-ups including one with active adaptive damping. Adjustable via DYNAMIC SELECT, it optimises the damping rate individually of each wheel, ensuring a supremely smooth and responsive drive.
