We’d like to extend congratulations to our colleagues at Agnew Group for raising £300,000 in three years for Cancer Fund for Children. Rounding off a three-year partnership with the Charity, the incredible total adds an additional £100,000 to the target that they set back in 2017.
The funds were raised for Cancer Fund for Children through a range of activities such as charity bog runs, coffee mornings, BBQ events and a Mourne Mountain Challenge. The raised funds will allow the Charity to continue providing children aged from 0-24 and their families with a range of practical, emotional and financial support.
Speaking of Agnew Group’s fantastic achievement Phil Alexander, CEO at Cancer Fund for Children, said:
“On behalf of the young people and families at Cancer Fund for Children, we are extremely grateful to the Agnew Group for their incredible energy and enthusiasm over the past three years in helping raise vital funds and build awareness of childhood cancer.
“Our services help to empower, connect and strengthen young people and their families so they feel better equipped to deal with the impact cancer has on their lives. Providing these services would not be possible without the support of companies such as the Agnew Group".
Following the end of their partnership with Cancer Fund for Children, Agnew Group say that they are looking forward to working with a new organisation and to continue helping important charities make a difference to those that need it most.
Funds raised by Agnew Group will now go to support the roll out of Mindwise’s Family Wellness Project to the Belfast Trust. The Family Wellness Project is an early intervention mental health project that aims to enhance the emotional health and wellbeing of children aged 5-12 and their families. The project work with children that are at risk of developing significant mental health difficulties. Read more about the project here.
Once again, we’d like to congratulate all of our colleagues at Agnew Group on the amazing amount that they have managed to raise for Cancer Fund for Children. We thought we’d give the last word to Yuile Magee, Managing Director at Agnew Group:
“Working to raise funds for Cancer Fund for Children has been a true labour of love for our entire team. The work that Cancer Fund for Children does helps ease what is the most challenging time in many families’ lives here and we are grateful for that service and are honoured to have played a small role in enabling that amazing work to go further".
