Gallery: The Incredible new MINI JCW GP

The world's fastest and most powerful MINI has arrived! This is the new MINI JCW GP: a MINI that boasts more power than most hot hatchbacks, a 0-62mph sprint that rivals the world's fastest front-wheel drive cars and design that sits with even the craziest concept cars. Our photographer recently spent some time with one to get to know some of its crazier features.

Power comes from the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder as the incredible BMW M140i and the result is a rather incredible 302bhp and 332lb ft of torque being fed through the front wheels. Combined with a 70kg weight reduction - when compared to a MINI JCW auto - the power means that the GP gets to 62mph in just 5.2 seconds.

As you can see from the pictures, the exterior is outrageous. Aside from the familiar JCW styling, the GP adds new, extended, wheel arches, a new diffuser and that incredible large double spoiler. A highlight of ours!

As with previous generations of the MINI GP, the interior has been stripped back, the rear seats removed and a strut put in their place. It's details like that which remind you that the GP is the closest to a road going MINI racing car that you can get.
