Earlier this week, Lamborghini donated a custom built Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 to His Holiness Pope Francis.
Delivered to the Pope outside of his Vatican residence, this very special Huracan RWD has been designed by Lamborghini’s customisation department “Ad Personam” and pays homage to the Vatican. Inspired by the colours of the Vatican City’s flag, this special edition Huracan has been painted in white (Bianco Monocerus) and gold (Giallo Tiberino).
Now signed and blessed by the Pope himself, this Huracan RWD is far from an extraordinary Popemobile; instead, it shall be auctioned for charity by RM Sotherby’s on May 12th 2018.
Helping to rebuild homes and Christian places of worship in Iraq, support victims of human-trafficking and help two African aid charities based in Italy, the charities have been personally selected by Pope Francis.
An auction that is sure to help lots of people, the generous winning bidder will receive a one-of-a-kind version of Lamborghini’s Huracan. Developing a total of 572bhp and 398lb ft of torque, Huracan RWD feeds all of the power from its 5.2-litre V10 through a dual-clutch gearbox to only the rear wheels.
