MINI Announce new MINI Yours Service

The ability to make a car truly your own has long been something that we all enjoy – but there have always been limits to what is achievable. MINI are looking to change that with the launch of their new MINI Yours customisation service.

The ability to make a car truly your own has long been something that we all enjoy – but there have always been limits to what is achievable. MINI are looking to change that with the launch of their new MINI Yours customisation service.Customisation and the ability to create a car that is individual has always been a large part of the MINI brand – as such, the MINI Yours service has long been available. The new MINI Yours service, however, takes your ability of car customisation to another level, thanks to the addition of 3D printing and laser etching services.

For the first time, a large volume manufacturer will be able to offer customers the ability to design elements of their MINI that are totally bespoke. Thanks to the 3D printing and laser etching abilities on offer, you’re limited solely by your own creativity; with the ability to create elements that feature things like your own name and special icons.

The service will become available in 2018 and will be applicable to whole host of new and existing MINI models – with the flexibility of being retrofitted to existing MINIs. Controlled through MINI’s online shop, owners will have the unprecedented ability to customise everything from the car’s indicator inlays (side scuttles) and LED door sills to the LED door projectors and even the dashboard panels.

Ensuring that the quality of all of these new parts is as you’d expect from a premium brand such as MINI, all products are made from high-grade metals and plastics that have undergone the same rigorous testing that all other MINI components are subject to during the car’s production. MINI have also gone to great lengths to ensure that the new 3D printers that are being utilised are of the very highest standards; with each having been precisely configured by the brand through partnerships with various technology companies.

Prices and specifications are set to appear early this year and we’re very excited to start seeing the creations that people come up with. What are your thoughts and how would you customise your MINI? Let us know on Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin.
