Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has unveiled the Wraith Luminary Collection, a limited-edition version of the two-door coupe, iconic to the luxury range. Only 55 editions will be produced and will feature some exclusive specification.
The name, 'Luminary' is said to be a reflection of a Wraith owner; 'a person who inspired or influences others,' Rolls-Royce have told. The exterior paintwork, Sunburst Grey is a new bespoke shade for Rolls-Royce, with a subtle Orange shimmer undertone and unique copper hand-painted coachlines painted across the body and down the bonnet.
The interior is trimmed in Saddlery Tan, which is mirrored in the pinstripe of the wheel centre which features the new two-tone steering wheel. Saddlery Tan and Anthracite leather are juxtaposed throughout the interior, with contrast stitching and piping giving the level of fine detail and bespoke quality, Rolls-Royce is famed for. The colour of the rear seats contrast against the driver's in a unique design feature used to highlight the prominence of the driver's position.
The cabin is finished in Tudor Oak Wood specially sourced from the forests of the Czech Republic because of its depth of colour. A unique feature in the Wraith Luminary is the new starlight headliner, which incorporates 1,340 fibre optic lights designed to replicate the look of the night sky and takes nearly 20 hours to create.
In a first for a Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collection, a hand-woven stainless-steel fabric, surrounds the central transmission tunnel and doors so that it contrasts the Tudor Oak wood and Saddlery Tan leather. The fibre, which takes three days to produce, also refracts the light from the unique illuminated door panels. Under the bonnet the Wraith’s 623bhp 6.6-litre V12 engine remains unchanged.
One of the exclusive, limited edition Luminary Collection is now available to view at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Manchester, Deanway Technology Centre, Wilmslow Road, Wilmslow, SK9 3FB or call 01625 416 250 to book an appointment.
