SEAT unveil their latest concept car

The new crossover concept was unveiled at Frankfurt motor show and is based on the Leon CUPRA 290. Its two-litre engine generates 300PS and can accelerate the car from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.9 seconds.

The Leon Cross Sport has a 41mm ground clearance and 19-inch wheels with Y-spoke design in a two-tone finish. It also features a number of CUPRA elements, such as the grille mesh, quadruple exhaust system, a large rear roof spoiler and full-LED headlamps.

The model’s two-litre TSI engine generates 380Nm of torque from just 1800rpm. The six-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission delivers fast and precise gearshifts. Its permanent all-wheel-drive uses a multi-plate clutch with hydraulic actuation and electronic control, and is one of the most efficient systems of its kind in the world.

Handling is supported by the latest electronic safety and assistance systems. The progressive steering and a specially adapted electronic stability system improve handling and driving experience. It also features adaptive cruise control with Front Assist, traffic sign recognition and lane keeping assistance.

Style and Technology

The interior of the Leon Cross Sport is inspired by the Barcelona sun. Orange is used as an accent in the seams of the Alcantara leather seats, cockpit, steering wheel, and as a surface colour on the centre panels and door panels.

Smartphones can be connected to the vehicle system using SEAT’s Full Link connection and operated by touchscreen. The SEAT ConnectApp allows you to make phone calls and search for directions among other features.
