Leon CUPRA 300

SEAT’s most powerful production model ever

The Leon CUPRA 300 will be SEAT’s most powerful production model ever and will arrive in UK showrooms in March 2017.

As the name suggests, the 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine has a maximum output of 300PS (up 10PS). Maximum torque has also increased 350 to 380Nm, between 1,800 and 5,500rpm. That means the driver will get a powerful response from the engine barely ticking over all the way up to hitting the rev limiter.

The Leon CUPRA also comes with dynamic chassis control (DCC): a progressive steering system and electronic self-locking differential as standard. The car’s dynamic qualities can be adapted to the drivers’ tastes through one of four modes in the CUPRA Drive Profile – Comfort, Sport, Individual and CUPRA. This last mode is the ultimate in hot-hatch performance and takes the driving experience to another exhilarating level.

This sporty model will also be available in three bodystyles: SC (3dr), 5dr and ST (estate) – and the ST will have SEAT’s 4Drive all-wheel-drive system and double-clutch automatic gearbox (DSG).

Standard driver assistance equipment includes Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and Pedestrian Protection, plus an electric parking brake and Keyless Entry and Start (KESSY). The integrated Media System Plus infotainment system has an eight-inch screen and, for the very first time, the Leon CUPRA gets a Connectivity Hub with a smartphone wireless charger and antenna amplifier for areas with low signal coverage.
