2017 has been a monumental year for SKODA, having being nominated for 6 awards and winning 3.
The latest addition to the ŠKODA range, the Kodiaq took the ‘Best Large SUV’ award and the Superb Estate was awarded ‘Best Estate Car’ for the second year in a row. Additionally the ŠKODA Citigo in the was awarded the ‘Best City Car’, the Fabia Estate nominated in the ‘Best Estate Car’ group and the ŠKODA Superb within the ‘Best Executive Car’ class.
The ŠKODA Fabia was awarded WhatCar?’s “Best Small Car” for the third year running. WhatCar? said “The Fabia’s solidly built interior and impressive array of safety kit just set it further apart from rivals. Throw in its interior features and outstanding practicality, and it’s a clear winner.” The Fabia is very practical car with large boot space and a two position luggage shelf, while folding hooks make it the perfect option to safely transport luggage and shopping within a great family car.
The Kodiaq, the newest addition to the ŠKODA range, is now available to order and is scheduled for release in April 2017. A WhatCar? spokesperson said “The Kodiaq offers four-wheel-drive, seven seats, plenty of kit and reasonable running costs, and all for a price which other large SUVs struggle to match.” The Kodiaq is a great all-rounder with desirable features such as umbrellas in the front doors and an impressive 2065 litres of storage. The Kodiaq is available in 5 or 7 seat versions, is fitted with a new central control system and is available in 5 different trim levels. The Kodiaq has also recently won an award from Top Gear magazine as its 'Best Car for Big Families’ which recognised the ŠKODA Kodiaq’s qualities in its ‘Best Cars in the World’ issue.
The ŠKODA Superb was awarded the top prize within the ‘Best Executive Car’ category. WhatCar? said “Practicality, performance, space, comfort and affordability are king here, and no car mixes all these things as phenomenally well as the Superb.” The Superb has the ability to carry large amounts with a huge boot and plenty of practical features all at a reasonable price. The estate has 660 litres of storage space with the seats in place, and with the seats folded the Superb delivers 1,950 litres of storage area.
