SKODA have had a superb year at the 2017 Auto Express New Car awards. The Kodiaq, Superb and Octavia have took home three category wins with the Kodiaq receiving an exclusive award for it's 'Reconnection' advertising campaign starring Sir Bradley Wiggins.

Noticeable of all from the judges was SKODA's commitment to practicality, quality and value for money in a very competitive market.

From the off-set the Kodiaq was named Auto Express winner of the Best Large SUV category. Which is notoriously dominated by luxury and premium brands however the Kodiaq stole the spot light. Announcing the award, Auto Express Editor-in Chief Steve Fowler said:

"The new Kodiaq offers family-friendly practicality in a more stylish body than a conventional MPV, while features such as the slick infotainment system and all of the brand's usual Simply Clever touches combine with SKODA's affordable pricing to make the Kodiaq the best large SUV on sale."

As for the Superb,  it has managed to retain it's well deserved crown in the Best Family Car segment, fighting off tough competition this year to secure it's consecutive win. Steve Fowler commented:

"The Superb took the title of Best Family Car for the third year in a row thanks to its blend of practicality, efficiency and tech at affordable prices. Plenty of legroom inside allied to a big boot mean few families will need more room, while SKODA's Simply Clever touches ensure the Superb will integrate into your family's life without fuss."

And last but not least the Octavia, who has completed the award winning trio this year by establishing it's mark as Auto Express Estate Car of the Year. Explaining the Octavia's success Steve Fowler said:

"With its 610-litre load bay, the Octavia delivers what an estate car should, offering plenty of practicality and versatility. But the SKODA is far from just a big box. Affordable prices mixed with a decent level of kit on most models and an efficient line-up of engines means the Octavia Estate won't break the bank to buy or run."

Overall it's not just the new SKODA's that have been recognised by Auto Express in 2017. The Superb won the Driver Power title in the satisfaction survey with the Yeti trailing close behind.

It's safe to say that SKODA has had an excellent year.
