Why not try two wheels?

Join Georgie and Danielle from North Wales ŠKODA who can't wait to get on their bikes this summer

Over 120 years ago ŠKODA started life as a cycle company. Since then our love for two wheels has never left. Cycling will always remain important to us and be a part of our heritage.

Cycling is a sport for everyone and we feel now is the perfect time for men and women to ride together and close the gender gap within British cycling. With more miles of cycle lanes than ever before and bike shops becoming more welcoming, there’s great opportunities for more women to get in the saddle and feel the adrenaline rush and sheer pleasure of cycling.

With millions of men enjoying the benefits, it’s time women did too. Not only is it better for our environment, it’s also better for our health, our pockets and our muscles. Win Win.

Cycling is an accessible sport, available to people of all ages and fitness levels that can be done almost anywhere. If you’re just starting out on your cycling journey, remember to start with easy routes and build up your confidence and fitness levels.

With lots of events happening this year, ŠKODA are proud to have sponsored the OVO Energy Women’s Tour. This took place from the 13th-17th June, being split over five days. The race saw the world’s top female cyclists battle it out to be crowned the wining individual and winning team.

As part of the OVO Women’s Tour, ŠKODA started our #ThisIsOurTime campaign. Through our new #ThisIsOurTime campaign, ŠKODA hope to inspire women - and anyone new to cycling - to discover the fun and excitement of life on two wheels.

Women's cycling has never been in a better place, its gathering momentum, coverage and sponsors. But there is still a way to go.

With this in mind North Wales ŠKODA are excited to join in the fun, with them holding some exciting events in the near future. As well as this, Georgie and Danielle from the dealership have joined the Rhos on Sea cycling club and can’t wait to get on their bikes.
