Harrogate Volkswagen Receive Local Community Award

"Giving back has become a culture within the business"

Kevin Howe, Head of Business at Sytner's Volkswagen Centre in Harrogate, is delighted to announce that his teams hard work and dedication whislt supporting their local community has been recognised and rewarded at the recent Harrogate & District Volunteering Oscars for 2017.

The event, held on 27th October, saw Kevin receive the award on behalf of Harrogate Volkswagen in the category "Corporate Engagement Award Winner".

Upon collection of the award on behalf of his team, Kevin said "I was absolutely delighted to be able to except the Corporate Engagement Award on behalf of our team".

Giving back has become a culture within the business, it engages everyone, not only with the wider community, but with one another.

The team were nominated for the award by the Supporting Older People Charity based in Harrogate, whose sole purpose is to alleviate loneliness and isolation amongst older people who live alone.

Their Director Kate Rogata said “Our partnership with Harrogate Volkswagen has made the most enormous difference in terms of the pleasure it brings to our clients. We think it is the best example of corporate support in its purest sense we have ever seen”.

Kevin went on to say "Having collect the award on Friday and spoken to the team at Supporting Older people it really does fill my heart with immense pride to be part of this amazing team. Well done Team Harrogate".
