The new, facelifted Tiguan is now open for Retailer stock ordering, receiving a comprehensive update.
The Volkswagen Tiguan is the most successful SUV in Europe and one of the top selling SUVs in the world. In 2019, it was Volkswagen Group UK's bestselling SUV, selling more than 33,000, more than double of its nearest competitor. The technology included within the facelifted updated Tiguan has taken a significant step forward. The front end presents a more confident striking appearance and the bonnet is higher with a new radiator grille and LED headlights. In addition to this, the new Volkswagen badge is positioned centrally at the front.
The eye-catching bumpers have also received a makeover, the 'Tiguan' lettering is now in a central position below the Volkswagen logo. On the inside, an all-new touch module for the climate control functions arrives in addition to touch buttons. These are generously sized, illuminated and are also used for fan and temperature control. The buttons can be optionally used to operate functions such as the rear window, seat and windscreen heating.
The Tiguan now has an optional premium sound system, the Harman/ Kardon, with ten high-performance loudspeakers, a subwoofer and a 480-watt amplifier. The sound can be configured using four pre-set audio profiles. A new evolutionary stage of vehicle lighting is now available for the first time in the Tiguan – the IQ.LIGHT – LED matrix headlights. We first showcased this headlight system in a similar form in the flagship Touareg. The new Tiguan is the fourth Volkswagen to feature this LED lighting system, following in the tracks of the Touareg, Passat and Golf, which is considered one of the best of its kind in the world.
The Tiguan now also features Volkswagen's advanced, upgraded driver assistance system: IQ.DRIVE. Travel Assist includes the latest generation of predictive adaptive cruise control and Lane Assist.
The trim levels have been renamed and the line-up has been reconfigured into a Y-structure. The next level up from the entry Tiguan model (replacing 'S') is the ‘Life’ trim (replacing 'Match'), with more comprehensive features. The ‘Elegance’ trim (replacing 'SEL') and a sportier ‘R-Line’ model will bring further luxury. All versions of the Tiguan come with LED headlights and front assist, a new leather multifunction steering wheel, an eight-inch infotainment system, and We Connect and We Connect Plus as standard.
