Sixth-generation Polo: bigger and better than ever

The sixth generation Volkswagen Polo has been unveiled in Berlin, showcasing a brilliant new and contemporary style to an already iconic hatchback. Highlighted is a small car with 'big car' features, with a major increase in cabin and luggage space (within larger external dimensions, new engines, sharper design, new assistance systems, better infotainment systems - plus the global debut of the second generation of Volkswagen's Active Info Display.

  • Available with City Emergency Braking - with new Pedestrian Monitoring function, Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection
  • Boot volume has grown by 25% from 280 litres to 351 litres
  • Wheelbase has increased by 94mm
  • Completely redesigned interior, debuting a single 'visual and control axis', with instruments and infotainment merging on the same dashboard to give the driver fewer distractions and better displayed information.
  • Gearbox include, five or six-speed manual, or seven-speed DSG units.
  • Engines include 6 TSI (Petrol) and 2 TDI (Diesel), with the petrol engines including the all new 1.5 TSI EVO (150PS) with ACT Active Cylinder Technology to deliver cylinder deactivation. The most powerful model is included with the Polo GTI. Equipped with a 200PS 2.0 TSI petrol
  • New LED headlights replace all Xenon headlights on the sixth generation Polo, while LED daytime running lights and LED rear lights are also available.
  • Personalisation is elevated to a new level, courtesy of 14 bold exterior colours, 13 different dashboard decors, two interior trim versions and 11 different seat cover options
