The Sytner Group Limited Mechanical Failure Guarantee provides a repair or replacement service for components of the vehicle that suffer a Mechanical or Electrical failure after purchase of our cover for vehicles which have successfully passed a comprehensive inspection carried out by a Sytner Workshop. For a fixed payment it covers the risk of unexpected repair costs.

Depending on the warranty extension you take out, you warranty will cover you for: 12 months / 20,000 miles, 24 months / 40,000 miles, or 36 months / 60,000 miles (whichever comes first).

  • Cars up to 3 years old and 60,000 miles

  • Cars or LCV’s up to 3500kg in weight

  • Existing warranty is due to expire within 90 days

  • Must have EVHC (Electronic Vehicle Health Check) prior to commencement and any issue identified must be resolved

  • Permanently registered in the UK Imported by the manufacturer or its authorised importer for the UK

  • The vehicle must be serviced in accordance with manufacturer’s requirements Not shown in the ‘Excluded’ vehicle list or any associated uses

  • Modified from the manufacturers specification

  • Owned temporarily or acquired for purposes of re-sale

  • Used for competition, trial, track days, rally, racing, off road use, driving tuition, taxis, speed testing, hire or reward

  • Used for commercial purposes

  • Designed to carry more than 8 persons including the driver

  • Weighing more than 3500kg

  • Vehicle’s not built or intended for the UK market

The claim limit is up to the price of the vehicle at the time of purchase of the guarantee.

Provides cover of the Mechanical & Electrical components that were of the manufacturer’s original specification except those listed in the ‘What’s not covered’ section. In addition, the guarantee will also cover: Catalytic Converter*, Timing Belts, Radiator, Heater Matrix, Oil Cooler, Casings, Working Materials and Diagnostic Cost *Emission failure 24hr assistance

  • Vehicle Recovery – recovery to the nearest repairer – if the fault cannot be fixed within 1 hour by a rescue operator

  • Home recovery – Redelivery

  • Overnight accommodation up to £100 per person (£150 in London) to a maximum of £500 Onward travel

  • Replacement vehicle hire up to £70 per day for a maximum period of 5 days European Assistance

  • Overseas Use – up to 90 days continual use over the period of cover

  • Any fault incurred before the inception of the Warranty or that can be claimed from a more specific insurance

  • Wear and tear if the vehicle has covered more than 100,000 miles.

  • Bodywork, paint, exterior and interior trim, glass of any description, high voltage batteries, auxiliary batteries, stop start battery , external connectivity cables, wheel alignment and balancing, adjustments to suspension, key fobs, wheels and tyres, all exhaust components, (except Catalytic Converter), wiper blades, friction materials including but not limited to brake linings, clutch plates, discs or drums, coolant hoses and pipes, fuel hoses, pipes and seals, auxiliary drive belt and any other belts not specifically listed, bulbs, handles, locks and latches, channels guides, weather strips and seals, hinges, check straps, and the failure of fixings, including, but not limited to, nuts and bolts

  • Repair or replacement of components to enable an MOT pass

  • Claims arising as a result of the excluded uses

  • Damage caused by incorrect fuelling

  • Any loss caused by frost or freezing of liquids unless anti-freeze has been added Fire, theft, road traffic accidents

Our cars are very reliable, however with cars being so technologically advanced it’s commonly accepted that problems can and do arise. Due to the complexity and variety of models on offer, parts can be expensive to replace.

Many of our customers have felt that taking the risk of not having any Warranty was a calculated gamble. The cost of a major failure could be more than some customers had budgeted for and it could happen at the most financially difficult time.
