It is clearly recognisable as a GTX thanks to the futuristic 20-inch alloy wheels in exclusive GTX design, the roof frame strip and C-pillar trim in anthracite and the black roof typical for the ID.5 which sets it apart from other models.
A further highlight is the aerodynamic silhouette of the gently sloping rear of the vehicle with its distinctive rear spoiler. This spoiler gives the top performer for electric mobility an exciting and athletic look – underlining at first glance how much personality this vehicle embodies. Particularly when you are driving past in it.

No matter whether you are driving into the hustle and bustle of a major city or over an idyllic mountain pass, the innovative dual-motor all-wheel drive system of the new ID.5 GTX will provide you with the sporty power needed to reach your destination. This is provided by two electric drive motors, which power the rear and front wheels via 1-speed gearbox. Unlike with a conventional all-wheel drive system, there is no mechanical link between the axles. The exclusive Traction* driving profile also ensures good traction and improved tracking on loose or slippery terrain by optimally adapting the drive characteristics of your ID.5 GTX to the current conditions. Because a GTX is not just built for paved roads – it offers outstanding performance on all kinds of routes.
The ID.5 GTX is as efficient as an ID. and accelerates like a GTI – because its electric motors develop their power with full torque right from the start. So that you can leave everyday life behind you, a large battery in the bottom of the body ensures a long range and balanced driving dynamics.

Does your hobby or job need a lot of equipment? No problem, because the ID.5 GTX is optionally available with an electrically folding towing bracket. Thanks to the dual-motor all-wheel drive system, this is designed for loads up to 1,000 kg (braked)*. If the towing bracket is not needed, it can be folded away again under the bumper.
*With 12% gradient.
GTX stands for breathtaking electric performance that will keep you captivated. Above all, however, it stands for sportiness as the new ID.5 GTX hugs the road complimented by the standard Sports Package Plus running gear with especially firm tuning of the springs, shock absorbers and stabilisers
In the new ID.5 GTX, you have an overview of everything that matters. The standard augmented reality head-up display projects important information directly into the field of view of the windscreen. Thanks to the augmented reality technology, you can see the navigation information exactly where you have to drive or turn off.
Keep your eyes on the road and control equipment such as the radio, navigation system or your telephone quite simply by intuitive voice control. Just say “Hello ID.” – and the system will understand you.
The quietness of an electric vehicle depends completely on the vehicle in question. In order to make road traffic safer, your ID.5 is quieter inside and then slightly louder outside using the exterior e-sound up to a speed of 18mph. This ensures that it is noticed more easily by pedestrians.
Do you use Apple Music? If so, you can enjoy your favourite music in the new ID.5 directly via the versatile Discover Pro navigation system – without the need for additional steps on your smartphone or tablet. All you have to do is download the corresponding app and log in with your login details in order to directly access your Apple Music account.
