New Car Warranty

We’re committed to making sure you’re completely satisfied with your purchase. That’s why, when you buy a new passenger car from an authorised Volkswagen retailer in the UK, you’ll receive a comprehensive warranty package designed to give you confidence from day one.

Your warranty includes:

  • A 2-year manufacturer’s warranty with unlimited mileage

  • An additional 1-year warranty covering up to 60,000 miles (whichever comes first)

This means you’re covered for a total of 3 years or 60,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Certain exclusions apply, so please refer to our full Terms and Conditions for details.

Extended Warranty

Whether your current warranty is nearing its end or you’re looking to add coverage for extra peace of mind, our Extended Warranty1 offers flexible options to suit your needs².

With an Extended Warranty, you’ll receive:

  • 12 months of protection against the cost of repairing or replacing failed components

  • A choice between two levels of cover:

    • All Component Cover

    • Named Component Cover

  • Guaranteed repairs by Volkswagen Approved Repairers using Volkswagen Trained Technicians

Used Car Warranty

Electric Warranty

When you choose a Volkswagen electric vehicle, you're choosing engineering you can rely on. That’s why every pure electric Volkswagen — including the ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, and ID.7 — comes with a high-voltage battery warranty that covers you for 8 years or 100,000 miles (160,000 km), whichever comes first.

This warranty protects against all material or manufacturing defects, giving you long-term peace of mind as you drive into the future.

Plug-in Hybrid Warranty

Volkswagen’s high-voltage battery degradation warranty for PHEVs covers 5 years or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first) and applies only to the first vehicle owner. It is non-transferable.

If a Volkswagen authorised repairer confirms the battery’s energy content has dropped below 70% during the warranty period, it will be repaired or replaced to restore at least 70% capacity—unless the degradation is due to:

  • Unauthorised tampering or installation

  • Improper use, charging, or maintenance

  • Fire or excessive water exposure

Volkswagen reserves the right to decide whether to repair or replace the battery. Replaced parts are covered for the remainder of the original warranty.

All-in Warranty

When you purchase All-in from Volkswagen⁴, you’ll receive up to two years of warranty provided by Volkswagen UK and administered by Volkswagen Financial Services. This covers the cost of repairing or replacing covered components that suffer a sudden electrical

or mechanical failure (excluding the no-claim period). Full details are in the terms and conditions.

If your previous Volkswagen UK or Volkswagen Financial Services warranty expired more than 30 days ago, a 30-day no-claim period applies. This means you’ll have 23 months of claimable coverage.

The All-in Warranty does not apply to vehicles already covered by another warranty, insurance, guarantee, or goodwill gesture. bu

2Based on a customer driving a Volkswagen with less than 60,000 miles and an engine size of 1.4L or below, choosing Named Component Cover with an excess of £250, to cover them for driving less than 10,000 miles, within 30 days of their existing warranty expiring. Subject to eligibility criteria.
