Meet some of the fantastic women that make up our Digital Reception Team.

Rhiannon Kays - Digital Reception Team Leader

  1. How long have you worked for Sytner BMW/MINI? I have worked for Sytner BMW/MINI for over 10 years now. 7.5 years at Cardiff BMW as a Receptionist/host and almost 3 years on the Digital Reception Team.

  2. How long have you been in your current role? I joined the Digital Reception Team when it was created during lockdown and I became a Team Leader in 2021.

  3. What is your favourite part about your current role? I have loved being a part of the ever evolving team. We were born out of lockdown and have gone from strength to strength since, I am really proud to have been a part of that. No two days are ever the same.

  4. What motivates you in the morning? Endless cups of tea, much needed with my busy household in the morning. Each day is a fresh start to get the best out my team. Team Zooms each morning starts the day off in the right direction.

  5. Three words to describe yourself? Positive, loyal and nurturing.

  6. What is your greatest achievement? My children and my career within Sytner, specifically the opportunities that I have had over the past 3 years.

  7. What advice would you give to someone aspiring to be in your role? Have belief in yourself, stay motivated and keep learning.

  8. How have you seen the Automotive industry landscape change and evolve to engage more women? When I started working for Sytner there was only 1 sales woman at Sytner BMW Cardiff. Now I would say most dealerships are 50/50 with women in all roles. The motor industry has evolved in all aspects of Diversity and Sytner specifically is a very forward thinking and inclusive business.

  9. Top tip for how you organise your days? A to do list! I write everything down as well as adding to my desktop diary.

  10. Top tip for working in the automotive industry? Learn as much as you can about all aspects of the industry. We are all ONE TEAM after all.

Francesca Mills - Digital Reception Team Leader

  2. How long have you been in your current role? 2 Years 4 Months

  3. What is your favourite part about your current role? I love having the potential to inspire my own team.

  4. What motivates you in the morning? That fact others are reliant on me for my support and guidance. (If I am not motivated in the morning then my team will not be motivated. I am here to set an example and to keep morale high)

  5. Three words to describe yourself? Passionate, Caring and Confident.

  6. What is your greatest achievement? Excelling in my Sytner Career- I always wanted something for me, something that only I could work on and I found it right here within Sytner.

  7. What advice would you give to someone aspiring to be in your role? Having initiative and always being open to change and remembering not everyone thinks like you.

  8. How have you seen the Automotive industry landscape change and evolve to engage more women? My time in the industry so far I have seen more changes which include woman becoming Technicians, Service Advisors and Heads of Businesses.

  9. Top tip for how you organise your days? I delegate my tasks from most important to least important and tick them off as I go.

  10. Top tip for working in the automotive industry? Be diverse and be susceptible to the constant change and growth- the automotive industry is always evolving and expanding.

Linda Lemin - Digital Reception Team Leader

  1. How long have you worked for Sytner BMW/MINI? I have worked for Sytner for almost 9 years.

  2. How long have you been in your current role? 3 glorious years this May 2023.

  3. What is your favourite part about your current role? Engaging with the team whether they be at home or in the HUB. It is lovely to have interaction on every level of the business from Head of Businesses, Managers, Service Advisor’s to Sales Exec’s.

  4. What motivates you in the morning? Knowing the impact I will have on my team which helps them deliver the best customer service possible.

  5. Three words to describe yourself? Friendly, Honest, and a Good listener

  6. What is your greatest achievement? Becoming a Mother to my 2 children and Grandmother to my 5 grandchildren.

  7. What advice would you give to someone aspiring to be in your role? Focus on the people around you, understanding your teams needs and act on them.

  8. How have you seen the Automotive industry landscape change and evolve to engage more women? This was always a male dominated environment, but now some 9 years later women are now Heads of Business, Managers, and Business Managers. This was not always the case when I joined, but now its amazing to see how far Sytner have evolved with Diversity and inclusivity.

  9. Top tip for how you organise your days? Prioritise in order of importance.

  10. Top tip for working in the automotive industry? Kill them with kindness, and smile while you dial.

Roselyn Campbell - Digital Receptionist

  1. How long have you worked for Sytner BMW/MINI? I have worked for Sytner for just over 2 years.

  2. How long have you been in your current role? I have been in my current role since I started (2 Years and 2 Months).

  3. What is your favourite part about your current role? My favourite part of the role is that no 2 days are the same.

  4. What motivates you in the morning? I am motivated each morning by the fact that I am a part of a team that make a big difference to the customer’s experience, as we are the first point of contact with the business.

  5. Three words to describe yourself? Reliable, Calm, Considerate

  6. What is your greatest achievement? My greatest achievements are having raised 2 sons that have become extremely decent young men and becoming the Mental Health Ambassador at DRT. The thought of being able to help someone struggling with their mental health is something that is very important to me.

  7. What advice would you give to someone aspiring to be in your role? My advice would be to always treat others with respect whether it be customers or colleagues.

  8. How have you seen the Auto-motive industry landscape change and evolve to engage more women? The best car companies are taking progressive steps towards sustainability and diversity & inclusion, making careers in the automotive industry more accessible to women. Organisations are aiming to fill at least 30% of key positions with women by 2030. Being of a certain age, I personally have seen a huge difference in numbers of women currently employed in the automotive sector compared to the 70s, 80s and 90s.

  9. Top tip for how you organise your days? Planning ahead and making lists is my top tip for organising my day.

  10. Top tip for working in the automotive industry? Never take things personally, be honest, be open and be resilient.

Amanda Jebb - Digital Reception Team Leader

  1. How long have you worked for Sytner BMW/MINI? 3 years

  2. How long have you been in your current role? 2 years

  3. What is your favourite part about your current role? Knowing that we play in part in enhancing the customer’s journey from the outset.

  4. What motivates you in the morning? A cup of tea and a nice brisk walk!

  5. Three words to describe yourself? Fair, factual and tenacious

  6. What is your greatest achievement? Returning to the work place after having children (am 18 year gap) and regaining my confidence to succeed.

  7. What advice would you give to someone aspiring to be in your role? Be patient and lead by example.

  8. How have you seen the Automotive industry landscape change and evolve to engage more women? It is refreshing to see how in a previously predominately male dominated industry the balance of women in every area of the business as grown.

  9. Top tip for how you organise your days? I write myself a to do list and narrow that down to a must be done list.

  10. Top tip for working in the automotive industry? Be engaging both with your colleagues and customers.
