Rhiannon Kays - Digital Reception Team Leader

  1. How long have you worked for Sytner BMW/MINI? I have worked for Sytner BMW/MINI for over 10 years now. 7.5 years at Cardiff BMW as a Receptionist/host and almost 3 years on the Digital Reception Team.

  2. How long have you been in your current role? I joined the Digital Reception Team when it was created during lockdown and I became a Team Leader in 2021.

  3. What is your favourite part about your current role? I have loved being a part of the ever evolving team. We were born out of lockdown and have gone from strength to strength since, I am really proud to have been a part of that. No two days are ever the same.

  4. What motivates you in the morning? Endless cups of tea, much needed with my busy household in the morning. Each day is a fresh start to get the best out my team. Team Zooms each morning starts the day off in the right direction.

  5. Three words to describe yourself? Positive, loyal and nurturing.

  6. What is your greatest achievement? My children and my career within Sytner, specifically the opportunities that I have had over the past 3 years.

  7. What advice would you give to someone aspiring to be in your role? Have belief in yourself, stay motivated and keep learning.

  8. How have you seen the Automotive industry landscape change and evolve to engage more women? When I started working for Sytner there was only 1 sales woman at Sytner BMW Cardiff. Now I would say most dealerships are 50/50 with women in all roles. The motor industry has evolved in all aspects of Diversity and Sytner specifically is a very forward thinking and inclusive business.

  9. Top tip for how you organise your days? A to do list! I write everything down as well as adding to my desktop diary.

  10. Top tip for working in the automotive industry? Learn as much as you can about all aspects of the industry. We are all ONE TEAM after all.
