SEVEN MILLION ALL-ELECTRIC AND PLUG-IN HYBRID CARS ON THE ROAD BY 2030.

BMW are committed to a sustainable future.

Indeed, they have a 10-year plan for sustainability that focuses on the expansion of electric mobility. And it has an ambitious end goal – to have seven million all-electric and plug-in hybrid BMW Group vehicles on the roads by 2030.

BMW have already made excellent progress, but will continue to go further. At the end of 2019, they reached the impressive landmark of 500,000 electrified vehicles sold. It’s projected we’ll hit 1,000,000 by the end of 2021.

So how will we and BMW lead this charge? Through giving you, our customers the power of choice. We prioritise our customers’ needs to deliver an enticing offer we know they’ll love.

As each of our iconic ranges evolve to include more electric options, their historic target audiences become more likely to switch to electric. Soon, the BMW 7 Series, BMW 5 Series and BMW X1 will all feature all-electric drive units.

Furthermore, BMW are already moving forwards to the fifth generation of BMW eDrive technology in the all-new BMW iX3, which arrived earlier this year and iX and i4 coming later on this year, continuing to show the pace of development.
