Design

The all-new fifth-generation BMW X5 builds on the success of BMW’s original Sports Activity Vehicle, first launched in 1999. The latest model combines a bold new design, advanced technology and improved efficiency, with a wider choice of powertrains than ever before. For the first time, the X5 range includes a fully electric model, the BMW iX5, alongside plug-in hybrid and diesel options, bringing together performance, comfort and everyday versatility.

The BMW iX5’s innovative interior combines a driver-focused cockpit with generous space for up to five adults, creating a comfortable and contemporary environment. The free-standing Central Display and BMW Panoramic Vision, which projects selected information across the windscreen, keep key details within easy view, while the optional BMW Passenger Screen gives the front passenger their own interactive display. A standard two-part Panoramic Glass Sunroof fills the cabin with natural light, with an opening front section allowing fresh air to flow through at the touch of a button.

Performance

The BMW iX5 brings together performance, precision and efficiency through the BMW Heart of Joy, an advanced central control system that coordinates the drivetrain and driving dynamics. Working alongside BMW Dynamic Performance Control software, it intelligently manages key driving functions to deliver a responsive and composed experience. The all-electric iX5 accelerates from 0–62 mph in 4.5 seconds, reaches a top speed of 130 mph and offers an impressive electric range of up to 528 miles¹ (WLTP).
