Equipped in an Audi for the first time, the RS 3 Saloon boasts a Torque Splitter, enabling fully variable torque distribution between the rear wheels. With its RS driving modes, the RS Torque Splitter and acceleration from 0 to 62mph in just 3.8 seconds, the second-generation Audi RS 3 Saloon’s performance is worth shouting about. It has an impressive five-cylinder high-performance engine offering 400 hp and 500 Nm. It is the best in its class in terms of acceleration and top speed and includes an adaptive suspension with damper control and ceramic brakes.
A RACING FEEL
In the interior, the driver gazes upon the Audi virtual cockpit plus which now features the RS Runway design. This setting displays RPMs in the opposite direction in a manner that visually resembles an airplane runway. The Audi virtual cockpit plus includes displays for g-forces, lap times, and acceleration from 0 – 100 km/h, 0 – 200 km/h, quarter-mile, and eighth of a mile. Also available in the RS 3 is the head-up display, projecting information on to the windscreen. The carbon-fibre trim in the instrument panel and the RS sports seats with RS embossing and diamond quilting add to the racing feel of the RS 3 Saloon.
UNMISTAKABLE LOOK
The exterior of the Audi RS 3 Saloon is dynamic, powerful and more striking than ever before. In the front, the wide RS bumper, the redesigned Singleframe with its distinctive honeycomb grille, and the large air intakes give the compact sports car its expressive appearance. It comes equipped as standard with flat, wedge-shaped LED headlights and LED taillights including dynamic turn signal lights. With its pixel field of 3 x 5 LED segments, it provides an unmistakable look. A checkered flag appears in the left headlight as a dynamic leaving and coming home scene, and the RS 3 lettering appears on the driver’s side.
