The A4 Saloon combines a classic silhouette with modern design and contemporary detailing, infusing a timeless shape with a distinctly modern appearance.
Design
The Audi A4 Saloon stands for sportiness, emotions and prestige. By focusing on the dynamic quattro elements and harmonious proportions, these attributes become visible all around. At the rear, a continuous chrome strip connects the LED lights to each other, highlighting the horizontal design. At the front, the deep and wide single-frame grille, the bumper and the accented wide air intakes form a powerful unit. LED headlights come standard in the Audi A4, with S line and Black Edition trims include high beam assist and dynamic indicators.
With a stylish and characterful design, the A4 Saloon commands attention with its striking presence. The standard LED headlights and rear lights can be switched for the dynamic rear indicators and high-beam assist. Broad wheel arches are on all models with an added honeycomb, single frame grill on the S line and Black Edition trims.
The A4 Saloon includes attractive 17" 10 spoke design as part of its package. Whereas the top of the range Black Edition trims feature larger 19" diamond cut 5-arm flag design Audi Sport alloy wheels in gloss anthracite black. There’s a great colour palette available throughout the trims, some of these include, Navarra Blue, Glacier White, Mythos Black and Progressive Red.
Tech
The Audi A4 Saloon boasts an impressive list of safety features, setting the benchmark in its class. It features numerous driver assistance systems, increased comfort, additional safety and lower fuel consumption. Lane departure warning helps to stay in your lane and cruise control with speed limiter. One great feature is pre-sense city which uses the camera located on the rear view mirror to detect vehicles and pedestrians in front. Some more innovations that make important contributions to safety are front and rear parking sensors, multi-collison brake assist, light and rain sensor, rear view camera and hill hold assist.
Engines & Performance
There are just two engines available on the A4 Saloon – one petrol and one diesel – and they’re offered across all trim levels. Each comes as standard with S tronic automatic gearbox.
Let’s start with the 40 TFSI – that produces 204PS and 320Nm of torque.
Meanwhile, if you’d prefer a diesel, the engine is badged as the 40 TDI, that puts out 204PS and 400Nm of torque.
Statistics
If you’re wanting the most performance, it’s the 40 TDI diesel that is the version to go for. Audi says it can go from 0-62mph in 6.9 seconds* and would accelerate to a top speed of 149mph*. In terms of efficiency - Audi claiming 47.1-49.6mpg* and 158-149g/km* CO2 emissions.
As for the 40 TFSI petrol, with Audi claiming 39.8-42.2mpg, with CO2 emissions of 161-153g/km*. With a 0-62mph time of 7.1 seconds* still being respectable, and it can manage a 150mph* top speed.
