Supporting Gareth
The Kirklees Way Challenge for a Worthy Cause
At Huddersfield Audi, we’re proud to stand behind our colleague and friend, Gareth Kilner, as he and a group of dedicated friends take on a very personal and meaningful challenge.
About Gareth
Gareth, a valued Progress Chaser at Huddersfield Audi, is living with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (PPMS) - a rare and difficult form of MS that has significantly impacted his mobility and independence. Despite these challenges, Gareth remains a source of strength and inspiration to those around him.
On 20th September 2025, a group of his dedicated friends will take on a special challenge to raise funds for a life-changing medical treatment in Switzerland - a Stem Cell Transplant that offers hope of restoring quality of life for someone facing extraordinary health challenges.

The Challenge
The Kirklees Way, known for its diverse landscapes and sweeping views, will serve as both the physical and symbolic path toward the desired goal. The route encircles the metropolitan borough of Kirklees, weaving through towns, villages, and rural countryside. Key landmarks include Wessenden, Digley and Brownhill Reservoirs, Emley Moor Mast and Denby Dale Viaduct.
The team will tackle the route in small relay groups, each covering a section of the path before handing over to the next. Their goal: to complete the entire distance within 24 hours. The final mile will be walked together, side by side with Gareth - a powerful moment of unity and support.

What You Can Do
This challenge was designed to be inclusive, allowing people of all capabilities to take part - whether by walking, donating, or simply helping to raise awareness.
It’s a chance for the community to come together in support of Gareth and others living with PPMS, a condition that often goes unseen and underrepresented.
Every donation counts, no matter how small, and together we can help continuing to support Gareth.
