On March 22, 2024, a significant event occurred as an R8 made its last journey off the production line at the Bölinger Höfe factory in Germany. This particular vehicle, adorned in Vegas yellow with 612bhp and featuring bronze 20-inch alloy wheels along with an exterior carbon pack, symbolized the conclusion of Audi's era with V10 engines.

The R8's journey began when its first generation was introduced at the 2006 Paris Auto Show, followed by the reveal of its second generation at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. To commemorate the conclusion of the R8 saga, 333 Coupé V10 GT RWD vehicles were manufactured in 2022, with 15 allocated for the UK market, all swiftly claimed by eager buyers. The final R8 to be crafted will find its permanent residence among other iconic models at the Audi Museum in Ingolstadt, Germany.
