If you love the Land Rover Defender but need an extra touch of space, then the Defender 130 - with its longer wheelbase - is the car to go for.

With its increased space over the generously-sized Defender 110, the Defender 130 is a great option for drivers who want the same great go-anywhere experience as the standard version but with a little added room.

You’d actually be hard-pressed to tell the 130 apart from other Defenders in the range from most angles. It’s only from side-on that you can see the 130’s increased length, which has largely been added to the rear section of the car. However, it’s all wrapped up in the same adventure-inspired look as the ‘standard’ models.

The Defender 130 also gets an exclusive ‘Sedona Red’ colour, which can be contrasted nicely by Bright Silver finishers to give the car a really distinctive look. As with the rest of the Defender range, there are many alloy wheel designs to choose from too.

It’s inside where you’ll really notice the difference on the Defender 130. It’s here where you’ll find enough space for eight adults across three rows. Each person gets a full-size seat, so there’s no compromise to be made regardless of where they’re sitting. Plus, the square shape of the Defender means that everyone has plenty of headroom too.

There are many convenience features, too. For instance, the third row of passengers can make use of USB-C points to ensure that chargers stay topped up, while plenty of storage options means that you can keep the interior as clutter-free as possible.

You’ve got a great range of specifications to choose from with the Defender 130. Plus, regardless of trim level, there’s lots of standard equipment on offer so each grade has something to add. The HSE, for example, comes equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels and Ebony Windsor leather seats, while X-Dynamic HSE versions get hard-wearing Robustec seats and 12-way adjustable - and heated - front chairs.

The Outbound version gets a go-anywhere pack of the same name, as well as a full Meridian Sound System. Defender X models get a classic-inspired Vintage Tan interior with Windsor leather and rugged Steelcut materials used, while X-Dynamic SE versions build on this with 20-inch satin dark grey alloy wheels. Range-topping V8 models get a dynamic-focused exterior look with quad exhaust pipes and some subtle ‘V8’ badging. Whichever specification of Defender you opt for, there’s plenty to check out.
